A 28-year-old visitor from New York caught with drugs in her luggage was fined in Magistrates’ Court.Typhanie Wolman, of Brooklyn, pleaded guilty to importing cannabis on June 4.She told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that she had come to Bermuda for three days’ vacation.Wolman was searched by Customs after officials were alerted by a sniffer dog at LF Wade International Airport.Cannabis and cannabis resin weighing three grams were found in a container of toiletries.Asked by Mr Tokunbo how her vacation had been, Wolman said: “Aside from this, it’s been lovely.”Mr Tokunbo told her: “Welcome to Bermuda. That’s $2,000 to be paid immediately. Come back again, without the drugs.”
