Angry man broke eight windows during row
A Sandys man who admitted smashing windows in his girlfriend’s mother’s house was fined and ordered to pay for the damage.Palaelkhai Williams, 23, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court to causing almost $4,000 of wilful damage.Crown counsel Robert Welling told the court that in the early hours of June 21, officers responded to a reported incident on St Monica’s Road.When they arrived they found Williams involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, who told police that he had broken eight windows in the home.Williams was heard to say: “You owe me a thousand dollars. I’m going to f*** you up.”The cost of the damage was estimated at $3,950.Pleading guilty to the offence, Williams told the court that while he has mended his relationship with his girlfriend, the windows remained broken.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered Williams to pay for the full cost of the repairs and additionally fined him $200 for the offence.
