Men charged with conspiring to kill

Two men were charged yesterday with conspiring to fatally shoot a 24-year-old man near Devonshire’s Clayhouse Inn.Rodney Grimes, of Devonshire, was shot near Gravity nightclub at around 3am on Saturday, October 8.A bullet reportedly grazed his ear and temple.Pelealkhai Williams, 22, from Wilson Place, Sandys, and Jonathan Steven Dill, 28, from Warwickshire Drive, Warwick, were both charged in Magistrates’ Court with conspiring to kill Mr Grimes and conspiring to use a firearm to commit an indictable offence in connection to the incident.Mr Williams alone has been charged with possessing a firearm with a barrel less than 24in without a permit.Neither man was required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable and must be heard by the Supreme Court.Mr Dill was represented in court by attorney Craig Attridge; Shade Subair is to represent Mr Williams. Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered that both men be remanded in custody.
