Trespasser assaults golf course manager

A 55-year-old golf course manager was assaulted after he tried to stop motocross cyclists from riding on the grounds.The incident happened at a South Road, Paget golf course, around 2.50pm on Sunday.A police spokesman said: “After confronting one of the motocross riders, an altercation ensued with one of the unknown men.“The manager, a 55-year-old Paget resident, received minor injuries as a result. His assailant is described as a black male about 20 years old, approximately 6ft 2in tall and 200lbs, with short hair.”The suspect was wearing a black-and-white printed T-shirt and black pants at the time of the incident, the spokesman said.Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Rhoda Jones on 295-0011.
