Teen denies housebreaking charges

A Sandys teenager was accused of stealing nearly $10,000 worth of goods from Southampton homes.Tahva Virgil, 17, denied two counts of burgling a Turtle Place residence on December 2.He was said to have taken liquor, jewellery and electronics including a 23-in TV to the value of $7,497.He was further charged with breaking into a Riviera Road home on the same night.He was accused of taking $1,995 worth of items from that home, and carrying a crowbar for use in burglary. He denied both charges.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded the teenager in custody until December 15.
