Convicted drug dealer in court for allegedly dealing in prison

A man serving time for drug dealing has denied possessing cannabis and heroin while incarcerated at Westgate Correctional Facility.Jakai Harford, 30, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment in September after police found cocaine, cannabis and a gun at his Pembroke home last January.Harford is accused of possessing cannabis and heroin in Westgate, an increased penalty zone, on October 26.The defendant, who has been shot twice, will be represented by lawyer Marc Daniels.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered Harford to return to Magistrates’ Court for trial on July 27.
