Man denies ‘bullets’ threat

A 29-year-old Pembroke man yesterday admitted using offensive words to police.However Rashad Cooper denied that he yelled, “Bullets for all of you” at officers while pointing his hand in the shape of a gun.The comments were allegedly made outside the Spinning Wheel nightclub on Saturday night.Crown Counsel Takiyah Burgess told the court that officers were called to the Court Street club around 11.50pm after Cooper refused to leave.He started cursing the officers, refusing to stop when warned. Once outside he pointed his hand like a gun towards police and said “bullets for all of you”, which prompted his arrest.Mr Cooper yesterday pleaded guilty to using offensive words, but denied the second charge of using threatening behaviour.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Cooper in custody until April 24 for mention.
