Teen denies threatening behaviour, having machete
A Southampton teen has been charged in Magistrates’ Court with threatening three people while waving a machete.Tariq Bell, 16, denied all counts of behaving in a threatening manner on February 4, as well as appearing in public with an 18-inch bladed article.He was accused of waving the machete at Kyle Dill on the date while uttering the words: “You guys are p**sies; I will mess you all up.”He was also alleged to have told Andrew Hayward: “I will chop you up.”The teenager is further accused of having said “I will kill you, you and you” to Christunte Caisey, again while brandishing the weapon.He was accused of possessing the bladed article on Homestead Lane, Southampton.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the case until May 20.Mr Warner also ordered the defendant to keep away from the residence where the incident allegedly occurred, and to stay away from its occupants.
