Man accused of breaking into home with imitation firearm

A 25-year-old man was yesterday charged with breaking into a North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish home with an imitation firearm.Jerome Mader, from Warwick, was charged with aggravated burglary, using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence and possessing an imitation firearm in flight after an indictable offence.The charges relate to an incident that allegedly occurred on July 24 last year. Two men, Tyun Smith-Ming and Justis Smith are currently awaiting trial in connection to the same matter.He was not required to enter pleas to the charges as they must be heard in Supreme Court.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Mader into custody until July 1 when the matter will be mentioned again.
