St George’s man charged with using offensive words

Bail has been granted to a 26-year-old St George’s man who denied a charge of using offensive language on Front Street on Saturday.David Robinson will reappear in Magistrates’ Court on August 21 for mention. Bail has been set fat $2,000 with one surety.During Robinson’s appearance, a charge of not wearing a shirt in public was dismissed by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner who said: “Not having a shirt cannot be considered an offence by any means these days.“I see tourists riding around the place without a shirt. Nobody can dictate to anyone to put on a shirt. ”
