A 37-year-old US chef was fined $800 after he was caught with cannabis.Samuel Fiddes, of Baltimore, Maryland, told Magistrates’ Court: “It’s my first visit to Bermuda and already I’m in trouble — I apologise.”The court heard that Fiddes was riding pillion on a livery cycle on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish at 10pm on September 25.Police pulled the vehicle over for a traffic offence and a bag fell to the ground as Fiddes removed his helmet. The bag contained 13.78g of cannabis.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Fiddes $800.
