Man denies tresspass charge

A Hamilton Parish man has been charged with trespassing in the hospital with the intent of causing injury.

Shannon Bell, 43, yesterday pleaded not guilty to entering King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as a trespasser with intent to cause bodily harm to a person therein.

The court however heard that no one was actually injured in the incident.

Magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Bell on $2,000 bail with a like surety and an order that the defendant avoid contact with any witnesses in the case.

The matter is set to return to court next month.
