Man, 28, denies assault on mother

A Hamilton Parish man has denied assaulting his own mother, claiming he was acting in self-defence after she attacked him with bug spray.

Darrin Anglin, 28, of Radnor Estate Road, also denied using threatening words against his mother, Paulette Anglin, during the alleged altercation on March 12.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Anglin on $2,000 bail with one surety.

Mr Anglin will be tried on May 9.
