A Hamilton Parish man has been charged with importing and cultivating cannabis.

Aaron DeSilva, 33, denied the charges in Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning.

Mr DeSilva allegedly imported the drugs into Bermuda on January 11.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released him on bail. He will appear for trial on July 21.

Meanwhile, a Devonshire man was charged with receiving a stolen motorcycle.

Ishmael Lightbourne, 34, denied receiving the bike — worth $1,700 — between January 1 and 28 this year.

Mr Warner released him on bail. He will be tried on June 23.
