Man stole from PriceRite

A repeat offender was sent to drug treatment court after he admitted stealing shirts from PriceRite.

Saje Nearon, 39, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court to a charge of stealing $192 of merchandise from the store in Mill Reach, Pembroke.

Prosecutors told the court that Nearon went into the store on the morning of November 13 and was seen to pull a bag from inside his shirt.

He then placed six packages of Calvin Klein shirts in the bag and walked out of the store.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Nearon on $500 bail, ordering him to drug treatment court.

He added: “It’s not whether you fall, it’s how you get back up.”
