A lawyer denied a charge of assault in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Kamal Worrell, 38, pleaded not guilty to the unlawful assault and wounding of Chavelle Dillon.

The incidents were alleged to have happened on June 1 in Warwick.

Magistrate Maxanne Anderson released Mr Worrell, from Warwick, on $5,000 bail and ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim.

The case was adjourned until October 7.
