A 33-year-old man yesterday denied a sex assault and keeping a woman captive.

The man was charged in Magistrates’ Court with unlawful deprivation of a woman’s liberty as well as a sex assault.

The incident is alleged to have happened on September 12 last year in Devonshire.

The defendant and the alleged victim cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released the man, from St George’s, on $5,000 bail and adjourned the case until February 15.

He ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim.
