Man, 34, denies catcalling 14-year-old girl

A 34-year-old man yesterday denied harassing and catcalling a 14-year-old girl.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to two counts of intruding on the privacy of a minor.

Magistrates’ Court heard that the man is alleged to have accosted the girl, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, and said: “Hey shorties, you guys look cute. What you doing? I wanna take you for a ride.”

The incident is alleged to have happened on July 22 last year.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released the man, from Sandys, on $3,000 bail and adjourned the case until February 28.

In a separate case, another man, aged 42, denied intruding on the privacy of a woman.

The incident was alleged to have happened on October 13, 2020.

Mr Tokunbo released the man, from Warwick, on $3,000 bail and adjourned his case until February 28.

He also ordered the man to return to court next Wednesday to set a trial date for an earlier intrusion charge.
