Man denies Front Street wounding charge

Magistrates' Court

A Warwick man has been charged with wounding another man during an altercation on Front Street.

Delgardo Pinto, 34, denied being involved in the fight, which allegedly occurred in July 2022 on Front Street and resulted in Keivon Simmons being injured.

Mr Pinto, who appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday, also pleaded not guilty to driving while influenced by alcohol and refusing to take a breathalyser test, hours after the alleged incident.

Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case to February 13 and released Mr Pinto on $5,000 bail until then. He was also ordered not to contact Mr Simmons.
