Man gets 12-month conditional discharge for injuring another

Magistrates' Court

A man was given a conditional discharge for injuring another man during an altercation, Magistrates’ Court heard.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo found Delgardo Pinto, 34, guilty of wounding Keivon Simons during an altercation on Front Street in July 2022.

Pinto, from Warwick, was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing to take a breath test on the same date.

Mr Tokunbo dismissed the DUI and breath test charges, claiming there was not enough evidence to convict Pinto, but sentenced him to a 12-month conditional discharge for wounding and fighting with Mr Simons.
