Man caught with cannabis given conditional discharge

A man caught with cannabis at Hamilton Police Station has been given a six-month conditional discharge in Magistrates’ Court.

Dujon Reid-Anderson, 37, admitted having 14.57 grams of the drug when he appeared in court on Friday.

The court heard that officers found the substance in a bag while searching Reid-Anderson, who was at the station for an unrelated matter, in July.

Magistrate Maria Sofianos warned Reid-Anderson, who apologised for the incident, not to commit another offence for six months, or have his sentence changed to a harsher one.
