Warwick man denies abusing senior citizen

A man has been charged in Magistrates’ Court with abusing a senior citizen.

Reuben Curtis, 43, was also charged with threatening the same senior citizen, Leonie Curtis, as well as damaging her car and causing her grievous bodily harm in an increased-penalty zone.

Mr Curtis, from Warwick, denied the offences, which allegedly occurred on March 13, when he appeared in court yesterday, and chose to keep the case in Magistrates’ Court.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered that a report be written for Mr Curtis, adjourned the case to April 22 and remanded him in custody until that time.
