Man who went through stop sign banned for drink-driving

A drink-driver who disobeyed a road sign in Southampton has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.

Randall Hall, 41, admitted driving while impaired when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that police stopped Hall, from St George’s, after he ignored a stop sign near South Road and Middle Road in November 2021.

Officers smelt alcohol on Hall’s breath and took him to Hamilton Police Station. A breath test showed he had 191.5 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit for driving in Bermuda is 80mg/100ml.

In addition to being banned, Hall was fined $1,200 for the offence.
