Two drivers banned from roads
Two people have been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Elizabeth Coleman, 50, and Kalae Fox, 24, admitted driving while impaired by alcohol when they appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that police spoke to Coleman, from Southampton, after a car crash in Paget on April 27.
Officers saw Coleman swaying back and forth while talking to them and took her to Hamilton Police Station.
On May 16, police stopped Fox, from St George’s, after he almost struck a kerb while riding his bike near Blue Hole Hill.
Fox admitted drinking before getting on his bike and was taken to Hamilton Police Station.
The motorists were each fined $1,200 in addition to being banned.
