A magistrate revoked the guilty pleas of a man accused of assaulting a child and police officer.
Rudolph Smith, 73, initially admitted the offences when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court in May.
However, magistrate Craig Attridge highlighted reports written about Mr Smith and revoked the pleas yesterday.
Mr Attridge adjourned Mr Smith’s case to January 12, when a trial could be heard, and extended his bail until that time.
