Teen denies injuring with intent to disable
A teenager has been accused of injuring a woman with intent to disable her.
Mitayah Richardson, 19, denied causing the woman grievous bodily harm by “casting a fluid or substance” when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.
Ms Richardson, from Devonshire, allegedly committed the offence on March 12 and chose to keep the case in Magistrates’ Court.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case to August 25 and released Ms Richardson on $5,000 bail with a surety until that time.
Ms Anderson also ordered Ms Richardson not to contact the alleged victim and to attend Hamilton Police Station three times a week.
