Court hands down 13-month road ban
A man who struck a vehicle in Southampton has been banned from the roads for 13 months.
Andrew Browne, 55, admitted riding his motorbike without due care and attention when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The court heard that Browne, from Southampton, collided with a vehicle that was turning from Middle Road on to Pompano Road last July.
Browne had 13 points on his licence before his court appearance, when he also admitted offences including fraudulent use of documents and riding unlicensed cycles.
Magistrate Craig Attridge placed 14 additional points on Browne’s licence, banned him from the roads for 13 months and ordered that court services assess his ability to complete community service hours in lieu of paying fines.
Mr Attridge adjourned Browne’s matters to August 15 and extended his bail until that time.
