Teen denies causing bodily harm

A teenager has denied causing a woman bodily harm in Magistrates’ Court.

Mitayah Richardson, 19, was initially charged with causing the same woman grievous bodily harm with intent to disable her by “casting a fluid or substance”, which she also denied, when she first appeared in court last month.

However, prosecutors amended the charge, connected to an offence allegedly committed on March 12, when Ms Richardson reappeared in court yesterday.

Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case to September 15 and extended Ms Richardson’s bail until that time.
