Man denies injuring tourist while driving bus in Hamilton

A man has been charged with causing a woman grievous bodily harm by driving a bus without due care and attention.

Luvaughn Harris, 47, denied the charge when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday and chose to keep the case in the lower court.

The collision, in which tourist Joann Troccoli claims she was injured, allegedly occurred at the junction of Front Street and Bermudiana Road on October 30, 2024.

Magistrate Auralee Cassidy adjourned the case to February 23 and released Mr Harris, from Southampton, on $2,000 bail until that time.
