Teen admits to repeatedly carrying knives

A teenager found with knives on three separate occasions has been ordered to observe a court mental health programme.

Jaidyn Paiva, 19, admitted three charges of having knives in public when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Paiva, of Devonshire, had a knife in Southampton on August 1, 2024, in Pembroke on February 23 last year and also near Crawl Hill Gas station on August 15.

Magistrate Craig Attridge ordered reports to be written for Paiva, told him to attend the next session of Mental Health Treatment Court and remanded him into custody until then.
