Teenager accused of theft, assault with intent to rob
A teenager is to appear in the Supreme Court to face charges of theft and assault with intent to rob.
Zanii Williams-Davis, 18, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with taking a motorcycle without the owner’s consent, during which time he was allegedly involved in a collision with a car.
He was also charged with taking part in a fight in a public place and assaulting Rob Joyiens with intent to rob him.
Each charge, which were said to have happened on March 13, alleged that the offences were committed alongside others before the court.
Mr Williams-Davis, from Sandys, was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in front of the Supreme Court.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent the matter to the arraignments session in the higher court scheduled for May 4 and remanded Mr Williams-Davis in custody.
