Man sent to drug treatment court for possession
A man found with diamorphine has been ordered to participate in a drug treatment court programme.
Chet Wilmot, 63, admitted having the controlled drug when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that police found a brown substance while searching Wilmot, from Warwick, in connection with an unrelated matter on May 29.
The substance was revealed to be 0.07 grams of diamorphine or heroin.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos ordered reports to be written for Wilmot, who has several previous convictions, and extended his bail until Drug Treatment Court on April 7.
