Man admits sending threatening messages
A man will be sentenced in Magistrates’ Court this month for threatening a woman and sending her two menacing messages.
Phillip Miereles, 37, of Southampton, pleaded guilty to the three offences when he appeared in court today, after initially denying them.
Charges included that Miereles wrote via a public communication service: “She has 24 hours to call me or I’ll come looking for her.”
He committed the offences on January 27, 28 and 29, while on a yearlong probation for threatening the same woman between June and July 2025 — which he admitted in Magistrates’ Court in October last year.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson revoked Miereles’ probation and remanded him in custody until April 16, when he is expected to be sentenced for all offences.
