Teenager remanded for armed burglary charge

A teenager accused of aggravated burglary has been remanded into custody until next month.

Tajae Browne-Dill, 18, was charged with trespassing in and attempting steal from a Sandys apartment while armed with a baseball bat and knife when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.

Mr Browne-Dill was also charged with stealing $1,300 in coins and causing $6,742 worth of damage when he trespassed in another apartment in Sandys.

The Sandys resident allegedly committed both offences, understood to involve apartments in the same complex on Wentworth Lane, on December 18.

Mr Browne-Dill was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent the case to the May 4 arraignments and remanded Mr Browne-Dill into custody until that time.
