A 40-year-old man has denied charges of importing drugs, supplying cocaine and failing to provide a handwriting sample to police.

Tekai Frost appeared at the Supreme Court yesterday, where he also pleaded not guilty to importing a prohibited weapon.

He faces a total of six counts including money laundering from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023, misuse of drugs involving cannabis resin from an unknown date until August 4, 2022 and refusing to provide a handwriting specimen on August 5, 2022.

Frost, from Smith’s, is also charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, namely cocaine, on August 4 and 10, 2022.

Frost faces a further charge of conspiring with others to import a prohibited weapon on August 4, 22 and a sixth charge of importing a prohibited weapon on August 4, 2022.

He will appear in court again for arraignment on October 5.
