BCB releases fixtures, partners OnTrack app
The Bermuda Cricket Board has entered a partnership with OnTrack, the local sports app.
The app was founded by Shannon Burchall and Roger Lee, young Bermudian tech entrepreneurs, footballers and sport enthusiasts, and made its debut during the domestic football season in 2019-20.
OnTrack will be the domestic cricket league's official resource for the full schedule of matches through the app, as well as their social-media platforms. The app will allow users to stay updated with real-time
cricket fixtures, results, team details and statistics.
This way, cricket fans will be able to stay on track with the matches, even if they are unable to attend, the BCB said in a statement.
Burchall said: “OnTrack is excited to have teamed up with the Bermuda Cricket Board for the 2020 season, and being a premier source point for cricket scores, league stats and information.
“With the global pandemic arising, there was a lot of uncertainty regarding the start of the season, but we are happy to see things moving forward and hope all sports fans can enjoy what we are providing
“We hope that this is the first of many seasons, as you witness our partnership grow stronger and the ability to provide timely and accurate information to all sports fans both locally and overseas.”
The cricket season starts on July 11 and 12 with six matches in the Twenty20 format in the Premier Division and First Division.
Matches will be played at only four venues — Wellington Oval, Lord's in St David's, White Hill Field and Somerset Cricket Club.
The abbreviated season concludes on September 13.
