Sparkling centuries from the prolific David Hemp and Stephen Outerbridge guided Bermuda to an eight-wicket win over Uganda in a high-scoring World Cup qualifying ninth and tenth place playoff at Senwes Park earlier today.

Hemp cracked a record 170 not out en route to his third century of the tournament and he had solid support from Outerbridge who hit 107- his first one day century .

Together the pair added 223 runs for the second wicket, surpassing the 180 they produced against Oman over the weekend.

Hemp hit five sixes and 11 fours off 141 balls and shared in an unbroken 56 run third wicket stand with Lionel Cann (32) that carried Bermuda to victory with nine balls to spare.

Outerbridge struck eight fours and three sixes off 99 balls before he became the last wicket to fall with victory in sight.

Earlier Kyle Hodsoll led Bermuda's bowling attack with two for 71.

After the match left arm spinner Dwayne Leverock and all rounders Janeiro Tucker and Lionel Cann announced their retirements from international cricket.

Bermuda, who secured ninth position overall with today's superb win over Uganda, are due home on Wednesday.
