BCB announce coaches
Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) have announced their National Academy coaches to lead the boys age groups as well as the women’s team and the Under-16 Girls.The Under-17s boys will be coached by Andre Manders and Allen Douglas, the Under-15s Grant Smith and Lorenzo Tucker, Under-13s Clay Smith and Reggie Tucker, Under-11s Desmond Crockwell and Ian Armstrong. The women’s team will be lead by Roxwell John and the Josh Ball.David Moore, national head coach, said: “All the coaches went through a comprehensive interview process and I am confident that we have selected well qualified, committed and enthusiastic people to run the programmes.“The aim of the National Academy is to develop player pathways from the Under-11 level through to the seniors providing players with consistent high quality coaching.“The Board will provide the BCBNA coaches with the opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and understanding so that they may stay abreast of contemporary cricket coaching practice.“The coaches have an obligation to the Board and the players in the programmes to continue to develop their cricket knowledge, coaching acumen, personal skills and have the wherewithal to develop and implement both team and individual coaching programmes.“I have confidence in the coaches selected and I look forward to working closely with them to take Bermuda Cricket forward.”
