The Celebrity All Star team got their first win against a Select Under-11 cricket team in the annual Hiscox Celebrity Cricket Festival at the National Sports Centre (NSC) at the weekend, winning by 32 runs.The celebrities scored 123 runs, with MVP David Roach contributing with both bat and ball, scoring 20 runs and grabbing two wickets in his sides win.Kalai Hollis was the MVP for the Under-11s, as he stroked his way to 18 runs and had a good day behind the stumps.Also competing on the day was an Under-11 East v West All-Star Game that saw the West win by six wickets.Batting first, the East managed 73 for nine, while the West reached their required target, finishing on 74 for four.MVP for the game was Dalin Richardson.Charles Dupplin, chief executive officer, Hiscox Insurance Company (Bermuda) Limited was pleased with the day’s events and the family atmosphere.“It was a great family day, with perfect weather and a good spirited match with great moments of skill on both sides. It seems the Cabinet could field its own team.”
