By Derek deChabertSt. George’s, 152 all out, beat Somerset, 147 for nine, by five runsRain proved to be the deciding factor as St George’s held their nerve to beat Somerset at Somerset Cricket Club in the annual Colt Cup Match yesterday.Winning the toss and sending the champions to bat, the hosts restricted their eastern rivals to 152 runs, with Zico Burgess top scoring with 47.In reply, Somerset were in cruise control with Tre Manders leading the charge with a boundary-laden 54, but two questionable calls and rain put paid to any successful run chase.Manders was caught when it appeared the ball hit the ground while Justin Corday (13) was run out in a close call. The rain then came with Somerset needing 30 runs and when play resumed, they eventually ran out of time, falling five runs short.Burgess and Manders were named MVP’s of their respective clubs.
