Sea Breeze to host ten-over exhibition

A two-day cricket exhibition will take place at Sea Breeze Oval and Lords this weekend.

Hosted by the two Eastern Counties rivals, Bailey’s Bay and St David’s, the event will feature skills and drills exercises ahead of a men’s ten-over tournament.

Friday will see former national team captain Irving Romaine put youngsters through their paces in both the batting and bowling departments at Sea Breeze Oval between 5.30 and 7.30pm.

The ten-over competition will be played on Saturday at Lords at 10am.

“Both events will cater to the family ... coming out and having a good time and showing that although the two clubs are rivals on the field in competition, we are also friends off the field and can enjoy moments like that where everyone can come out and enjoy the day,” said orgaiser Desmond Crockwell.
