Parents urged to be ready for new season

The Bermuda Cricket Board’s youth season starts next week and parents are being urged to sign their children up with a club or school.

The Hiscox under-11 league starts on Wednesday, with all games scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, games will be 15 overs a side. The under-8 and under-14 leagues will start next Saturday, with the younger group playing their matches at North Field, the National Sports Centre, from 9.30am to 11.30pm.

The BF&M under-17 Development League will start their season on Saturday, April 23 and will play 40-over matches on Saturday afternoons.

The All-star matches are scheduled for the National Sports Centre, with the Hiscox under-11 skills and drills competition, and Celebrity Cricket Festival taking place on June 4.

The last round of the Tokio Re under-8 league matches will be held on June 25, while the Hiscox under-11 all-star game will take place on June 11.
