Young All-Stars showcase their skills
The Hiscox 11-and-under and Bank of Bermuda Foundation 14-and-under East v West All-Star games will take place tomorrow at the National Sports Centre North Field, starting at 9am and 12.30pm.
Talented young players from around the island have been selected for what promises to be an exciting day of cricket.
“I would like the congratulate the players selected to take part in the All-Star games this year,” said Lloyd Fray, the BCB president.
“I would like to thank all the parents and coaches who have volunteered their time ensuring the success of both leagues and the BCUA umpire’s who are volunteering their services during the day. I would also like to thank Barritts for once again providing the water and Powerade for all our youth cricket events this season.
“The Bank of Bermuda Foundation 14-and-under league has also been a success this year with competitive games taking place each weekend. This league features an important age-group, providing the opportunity for Bermuda’s youngsters to enjoy cricket in a disciplined environment contributing to their personal development.”
The Hiscox Skills and Drills Tournament and the Celebrity Cricket Festival will be held on Saturday, July 15. “We are looking forward to seeing how the young players have developed this year,” Fray said. “Hiscox continues to be a major supporter of youth cricket and we truly appreciate their support.”
