BCB to provide online coaching courses

The executive of the Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to announce a partnership with online cricket coaching organisation, CoachEd.

Interested persons in Bermuda will be able to receive their Cricket Accreditation and Elite High Performance qualifications through online courses.

Through the agreement, BCB member clubs are eligible to enter one person per club to partake in the programme offered at a reduced rate. The individuals should be coaches who will provide their services to said club during the 2021 cricket season and beyond.

The 11-module course will cover all aspects of cricket, including season management and player-performance management.

The Elite High Performance programme will be subject to the recommendation from the BCB High-Performance Committee.

BCB president Arnold Manders said: “The BCB is very excited to partner with CoachEd, the global home for online cricket coach education powered by Gary Kirsten.

“The CoachEd online courses have been developed to enable cricket coaches to learn, develop and become accredited without restriction, from anywhere in the world.

“This partnership will assist us, as part of our strategic plan, in getting more qualified coaches in clubs and elite coaches for our high-performance programmes.”

A Zoom meeting will take place on December 19 at 11am to outline the programme to interested participants. For more information, contact your club, e-mail info@cricket.bm or call 292-8958.
