BCB hosting youth festival

Bermudian youngsters will get the opportunity to showcase their budding talents at the Howzat Summer Camp Cricket Festival sponsored by CG Insurance.

The event will be held at Warwick Academy on Monday from 10am to 2pm.

“The Bermuda Cricket Board is pleased to launch its first Howzat Summer Camp Cricket Festival, sponsored by CG Insurance,” read a BCB press release.

“The aim of this event is to engage and celebrate youth summer cricket, while also showcasing the talent and effort developed through cricket summer camps.

“The structure of the festival follows around the BCB Howzat Summer Camp playing two matches against the Department of Sport and Recreation Next Innings Summer Cricket Camp.

“The BCB also wishes to acknowledge and thank CG Insurance for its sponsorship of the Cricket Festival event. None of this would be possible without its support.

“Additionally, the BCB wishes to acknowledge its collaboration with the Next Innings Camp.

“Without them, we wouldn’t be able to inspire healthy competition among the youth cricket summer camp demographic. We appreciate their efforts and contributions to making this event a success.

“We hope to see a great turnout and an exciting performance from both camps.

“We encourage members of the community to come out and support and enjoy what will be a lovely day of cricket.”
