Police reissue witness appeal in Lynch case
Police have issued a renewed appeal in the hope of solving the murder of George Lynch, almost eight months on.
Mr Lynch was gunned down at an address in Midland Heights, Hamilton Parish around 10.27pm on May 5. A police spokesman said yesterday: “This case is still under active investigation and police are following up some leads.
“We're still appealing for the public's assistance, particularly the community in the Midland Heights area.
“Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or who may know anything to come forward to the police. We've not had a great level of information coming forward from that specific community.”
Anyone who can help the investigation should call Inspector Michael Redfern on 299-8181 or the confidential and anonymous Crimestoppers number, 800-8477.
