Police probe robbery spree

Two men have been arrested after a series of armed robberies across three parishes in just over an hour.The suspects are helping police with their inquiries after several reports of robberies and attempted robbies where victims were threatened with a gun while riding cycles.The robberies all took place between 10.30pm and 11.45pm on Monday in the Devonshire, Pembroke and Warwick areas.The suspects were described as being young black males, with one having a dark complexion and the other brown wearing helmets with visors and travelling on a white or dark coloured motorcycle.Police are interested in speaking to the driver of a white taxi which was travelling along South Road in Warwick near the Warwick Shell gas station who came across one of these robberies in progress.Officers investigating these crimes are appealing for the driver of that taxi or anyone with any information about these incidents to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011 or the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
