Gunmen take several items in daylight home invasion

Burglars broke into a Pembroke home wielding what appeared to be a firearm yesterday lunchtime.Police said the break-in happened at about 1.40pm when the occupants of the Clarke’s Lane property were at home.A police spokesman said the occupants were not injured but the suspects stole several items, including electronics, cash and jewellery.“It appears two men entered the residence, one carrying what appeared to be a firearm,” said the spokesman, adding that the pair made off in a southerly direction.He said: “The two suspects were described as being approximately 6ft tall; one of medium build, one of large build, brown-skinned and around 22 years old.“One suspect had dreads or braids and was wearing a hat, scarf and hooded jacket. The other suspect had short hair, green eyes and was wearing a white T-shirt and long jeans.”Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.l Are you the occupants of the property?
