Description of men who tried to rob tourist issued

A 58-year-old American man required hospital treatment after he tried to chase away a man who knocked at the door of his guest house room.The visitor was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) suffering from minor injuries after an altercation with the unknown man who knocked at his door at a South Road, Warwick hotel about 12.15am last Thursday on August 25.The visitor, a 58-year-old American man, received minor injuries.A police spokesman said inquiries into this incident were underway.The suspect is described as a black man of stocky build, wearing a black shirt and black pants.Two other suspects, who were in the area at the time, are described as black men; one wearing a red T-shirt and the other wearing a grey T-shirt.Witnesses or anyone with any information should contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.As reported in The Royal Gazette yesterday, the Bermuda Hotel Association has warned hoteliers to be on their guard following this incident.
