Thieves make off with cash in daylight robbery

Thieves stole cash from a 59-year-old woman in a daring daylight robbery this week.

The woman was exiting a parked car on Rosemont Avenue around 10am on Tuesday, when she was approached by two unknown men on a motorcycle.

A Police spokeswoman said: “One of the men reached into the car and took a bag containing a quantity of cash. Both suspects then made good their escape on the motorcycle.”

Police are asking for anyone with any information about the incident to contact Detective Constable Jason Robinson on 295-0011.
